Situated at 3075 metres above sea level and entirely surrounded by unique panoramic landscapes, the Glacier Hut can be found on the Riepensattel plateau at the Hintertuxer Glacier.
The Glacier Hut is a daytime restaurant, where skiers, snowboarders, hikers and mountain climbers can take a welcome break or shelter from bad weather. The daily opening hours correspond with the operating times of the Hintertuxer Lift Station.
A wide choice of delicious cuisine is available, ranging from typical regional fare to international delicacies, salads and a varied selection of beverages.
On the alpine ridge of the Zillertal Mountains surrounded by the majestic peaks of mounts Hochfeiler, Hochferner and Großer Möseler, with the Olperer and Gefrorene Wand of the Tuxer Alps towering above, the Glacier Hut enjoys one of the most breathtaking vantage points in the Alps.
Unrivalled views of the Sella mountain group to the south, from Marmolata to Rosengarten, the Venidiger in the east as well as the Zugspitze to the north – to name only a few of the peaks visible from this unique viewing platform.
